More Information
What Are Customer Engagement Solutions?
Customer engagement solutions are the combination of interactive hardware and the software that runs it: touch screens, kiosks and displays on the floor, connected to a platform that decides what each screen shows, captures how people respond, and reports what happened. The hardware earns attention; the software turns that attention into something measurable — a lead, an order, a booking, a repeat visit.
Most vendors sell one half of that. SaaS platforms assume you already own the screens, and hardware resellers hand the software problem back to you at delivery. MetroClick builds interactive kiosks and digital signage in-house and ships them running our own software platform, so the engagement loop — content, interaction, data — is one system with one company behind it.
Reach, Engage and Monetize as One System
The three solution areas above are stages of the same funnel rather than separate products. Reach is the screen that stops someone: window-facing displays, large touch screens, video walls with real sightlines. Engage is what happens when they step closer — wayfinding, product browsing, check-in, self-service. Monetize is where interaction becomes revenue: promotions at the point of decision, captured leads, and advertising inventory on screens you already own. Treating the three as one system is what makes the investment compound instead of fragmenting across vendors.
The Software Behind the Screens
Every deployment runs on a content management system that schedules content by location, daypart and screen group, with permissions so a store manager can localise a promotion without touching the national campaign. Reporting and analytics closes the loop: which screens got used, which content got touched, which prompts got ignored — the difference between believing a screen works and knowing it does.
Customer Engagement Solutions by Industry
The same stack behaves differently by environment. In retail, engagement means endcap promotion and product lookup at the shelf edge. In healthcare, it means check-in and wayfinding that cut the questions at reception. In hospitality, arrivals boards, concierge screens and event listings carry the load. Our past deployments span these and most environments in between.
Customer Engagement Solutions FAQs
What counts as a customer engagement solution?
Any combination of screen and software that lets a customer act rather than just watch: a kiosk that takes an order, a directory that routes a visitor, a display that captures a lead. If it produces an interaction you can measure, it qualifies.
Do customer engagement solutions require our own app?
No. The screen, the on-screen software and the management platform are supplied together. Where a business already runs an app or CRM, the platform can feed it — but nothing requires customers to install anything.
How do you measure customer engagement on kiosks and displays?
Through interaction logging: sessions, touches, dwell time, completed actions such as forms or orders, and screen uptime. Reporting shows which content and placements actually perform, so the next deployment is specified from data rather than instinct.
Can customer engagement solutions work across many locations?
Yes — that is where centralised management earns its keep. Content is scheduled by location and screen group from one platform, regional teams localise within their permissions, and remote monitoring flags an offline screen before customers notice it.
